LoL mani: Lissandra the Ice Witch / TNCC week#3

Well I still have 2 more blue LoL champions to go and one of them is Lissandra the Ice witch. In the game there are 3 lady champions that compete for the throne of an ice kingdom. But Lissandra is hands down the coolest of them all. She is ancient, powerful and made of dark ice. Her voice is melodic and she looks like a cool ice robot made of crystals :)

So for this look I wanted to make some cracked ice and crystals look. I also incorporated her trademark white braid hair and I created her face - thou I don't think I did her justice :( My favorite is the index finger done with the fuzzy polishes. What do you think?

Lissandra the ice witch

For this look I used a lot of polishes so bear with me: Barry M Liquorice, Bubblegum, Blackberry, Golden rose Impressions no. 09, Color club Over the moon, Konad white, OPI Solitaire, Alessandro Crystal punk, Essence crack me! blue, Electric blue, The boy next door, Absolutely blue, Fall for me.

My favorite Lissandra quote:
''I killed so many queens I've lost count!''

33DC: Day 30 The same pattern, different colors

I wanted to do something special and simple that it is obvious that there is the same pattern done different ways :) All I used was Vollare no. 40 and some different shaped rhinestones. I dunno how I feel about this look - it's very love/hate over here :) What do you think?

LA Girl swatches for Topmakeup.si

This is my 2nd part of the L.A. Girl swatch - a - ton. I love this brand especially because they are a part of all possible trends. They did the neon's, the magnetics and the scented polishes and many more. So here are swatches of some random polishes from these collections. They where send to me by the lovely people at Topmakeup.si a great source for the L.A. Girl products.

Tu je 2. del mojega L.A. Girl swatch-maratona. Ta znamka mi je še posebej všeč, ker so del vsakega trenda. Naredili so neon, magnetno in odišavljeno kolekcijo, tu so predstavljeni deli teh kolekcij. Girl izdelke.

Here we have Funkadelic from the disco brights collection. It is a dark teal polish that sometimes seems more green and sometimes more blue, kindoff though to describe. The formula was ok and this is only 1 coat. So the coverage was a dream! :)

LA Girl Funkadelic stamped with BM418 and BM408

Magnetics polishes are sometimes a bit problematic to use and I admit I had to train a bit before I attempted this swatch. But the end result was worth the work, I am always surprised how cool the magnetics polishes look. This is Magnetic force a dark gunmetal metallic steely gray. QUICK TIP (for use) firstly I put on a coat of the polish and waited that it dried. Then I added another coat and immediately started working on a single nail with the magnet on the bottle cap. The result was visible immediately. Here are 2 coats with top coat.

Tu sta 2 plasti laka in top coat.

 LA Girl Magnetic force

Lastly here is Watermelon splash from their Fruity collection. When you open the polish you smell watermelons ... mixed with well nail polish. But I do like it - also the smell stays with your polished nails for a while which I find cute. The polish was quite sheer so I applied 3 thick coats for full opacity. It is a neon light green jelly base with micro shards that shimmer from light green to yellow to orange to gold. An amazing polish. It was so cute I had to make a little smiling watermelon nail art for this swatch.

LA Girl Watermelon splash with China glaze Not in this galaxy

So here you have it! 3 lovely polishes from 3 different collections. I must admit my favorite is a the one from the Disco collection because  the coverage was amazing. So if you are from Slovenija pop over to Topmakeup.si and get yourself some L.A. Girl swag they are holding a 2 month sale :)

Girl. Dodatna dobra novice imajo 2 meseca dolge razprodaje!

33DC: Day 29 Your favorite pattern

My favorite pattern is - duuuhhh - Baroque filigree :) Think of any type of baroque/ Victorian/ steam punk/ vintage/ art deco filigree or vine looking swirls I will swoon over it :) And a while back Bornpretty store released stamping plate QA63 that features only arabesque filigree you can bet I ordered it in a heartbeat <3 I made it with textured base Kiko Wisteria and LA Girl Quicksand. The stamps are done with Kiko Gold and Lavender. I hope you like it :)

LA Girl Sand blast swatches

Get ready there is a new power player on the Slovenian online store market called Topmakeup.si. It offers L.A. Girl and L.A. Color cosmetics. They are some of my favorite brands so I am so excited to share these amazing swatches with you all! A big trend this year was the textured polishes and L.A. Girl did a great job with the colors it released :)

Ponujajo L.A. Girl in L.A. Colors kozmetiko. Velik trend letos so teksturirani/sand laki in L.A. Girl je sledil trendom in izdal odlične barve.

Sandy beach is my favorite of the collection because it's a neon dark blue polish. Here you can see 2 coats. There are no problems with application, the formula is a bit more watery, but it still dries very fast and when the polish is dry it's only semi-matte.

LA Girl Sandy beach stamped with Pueen48

Sands of time if a subtle sandy gold textured polish. It's made out of different sized gold glitters so the formula is a bit more thick but still very easy to work with. It does take a bit longer to dry. Here there are 2 coats that dry matte.

Sands of time je peščeno - medlo zlat teksturiran lak.
LA Girl Sands of time stamped with Pueen21

Quicksand is a dark purple textured polish, that does not have the same neon nature as his blue brother. The formula, texture, finish and drying time are the same as Sandy beach. Here are 2 coats.

Tu sta 2 plasti laka.
LA Girl Quicksand stamped with Pueen20

All in all I am in love with this polishes. We have all seen the textured polishes on the market but if you are up for some unique colors, that are not all glitter based and not very expansive (yes I am looking at you Zoya) L.A. Girl Sand blast collection is the way to go :)

33DC: Day 28 Lines

I refuse to make a mani with striping tape because currently we are on a break >:( I can't seem to make anything awesome with it :( But I finally got his MM14 plate that features this pretty feathers stamp that is full of lines. It's more geometric and clip arty type of feathers then super realistic - but that is why I love it :) And the other day I was hanging around my BF's sister who has started to make gel nails and she was nice enough to let me borrow her gel stuff so I could make my new talons for this look :) Check out her work HERE and show her some love :)

For this mani I used Essence The school is out forever as base, over it there is a layer of Femme fatale Darkmoon fortune - it's a maroon jelly packed with multi sized brown hex glitter, sprinkled with some blue hex glitters and some fuchsia maxi glitters. A quite amazing combination - perfect for a birds/feathers base :) The stamps are done with MM14 and Kiko Taupe.

Both of these beauties are Made in Australia so keep your eye out on their FB pages Messy mansion and Femme Fatale <3

LoL mani: Fizz the Tidal trickster vs. TNCC: Blue Week#2

Here is my further exploration of the color blue, which always reminds me of the sea. Fizz is the cutest sea monster ever!!! His hair are tentacles now how adorable is that? Also he has a trusty shark as his transportation/weapon :) But in the LoL game I must admit ... he kicks my ass a lot more times then I managed to play him. He is one of those champions that are amazing to watch played by pros and I personally can't seem to master him. But his cute and I had to do that squishy face and googly eyes. Also I wanted to do a shark mani and I think it turned out great! And how fitting is this 3D fish for this look?

I am crushing hard on this look - especially because it's a ll free hand drawn and it reminded me how easy and fun free hand drawn nail art is <3

My inspiration *fishy cuteness*
Fizz the Tidal trickster

I used: Arcane lacquer Erudite charm, Jade Hypnose, Catrice Rockby, Virgin forest, Mint me up, Essence I'm the boss, I love bad boys, The dawn is broken, China glaze Strap on your moonboots, Konad white and black.

My favorite Fizz in game quote:
''Feeding time!''

Sunday stamping: Thanksgiving nails

I am from Europe so we don't celebrate thanksgiving but I am a big fan of turkeys and sweet potatoes so that was what inspired me for this look. I wanted to make a lovely swatch for the amazing Black cat lacquer Pumpkin king polish released as a Halloween polish. It's packed with  black and white different sized hex/thin string matte glitters. But the best part are these amazing giant black and orange-holo pumpkins <3 All topped with white skull shaped glitter. And we are not done yet because the coolest part of this polish are 2 sized hex glitters that are semi sheer but at the same time neon orange matter glitters. Quite amazing polish!
But as I said I love turkeys and sweet potatoes. So the base is potato inspired and I had to do this whimsical turkey hiding behind a mushroom. I love these nails they look ready for fall <3

For the look I used Catrice Tam lucky mustard's as base, topped with Black cat lacquer Pumpkin king. The stamps are done with Essence Magic red carpet, Kiko Taupe, BM 302, BM H13.

On my table Essence UV light was running and I have no clue how, but I had my hands in it with this look and just look the amazing new life these glitters get under the light :)

Happy turkey day! Gobble gobble :)

33DC: Day 26 Something from Pinterest

I don't check Pinterest as much as FB so it took sometime to find something I wanted to copy from there but then I found THIS!! I fell in love with it's simplicity and how classy it looked so I remade it.
The gold base is Color club gingerbread man, layered over with China glaze Angel wings. The silver base is done with Barry M Silver foil and LA Girl 3D Silver over it. I added some 3D rhinestones to match the Pinterest mani.
Hope you like it :)

Golden rose Carnival Swatch-a-ton

I usually fall in love with only a one or two polishes per collection - but damn Golden rose Carnival was one of those collections ''Gotta catch them all!'' :) They are all clear base glitters with mostly matte vivid color glitters of different shapes of sizes. All the swatches are done with two coats, the formula is a bit watery but packed with glitter so I had no problems. The glitters applied like a dream, no sticking out or taco effect <3 The only down side is they don't have any fun names only numbers - still let the swatch-a-ton begin!!!

Here is are all the colors I got - there are a few more in the Carnival collection but my wallet needed a break

Golden rose Carnival no.01 is has 4 different sized white hex glitters and thin string glitters in a clear base, they are all matte. This are 2 coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.14 is a clear base with small hex glitters, big square glitters and thin string glitters that are all matte and a neon yellow color. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.06 has in a clear base 4 different sized hex glitters that have a sheen to them that goes from yellow to orange so it's hard to describe. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.15 has a clear base packed with 3 sized hex dark red glitters and the same colored bar glitters. Also in there are light red hex glitters and bar glitters. They are both matte. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.08 is clear base with 2 sized square glitters, 2 sized bar glitters and small hex glitters all in the same violet - fuchsia matte color. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.11 has a clear base packed with 2 sized dark purple hex glitters, 3 sized lavender hex glitters and purple thin string glitters. In there are also very big semi sheer light lavender hex glitters. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.13 has a clear base with semi sheer white bar and small hex glitters. Also there are 4 different sized neon light blue hex glitters. This is two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.02 has a clear base with two sized hex matte white glitters and 3 sized hex glitters that are a light green color and are semi sheer. This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.05 is a clear base with all grassy green matte glitters that range from dot, square, string and hex glitters. Yeah all the shapes of the glitter rainbow in one polish <3 This are two coats with top coat.

Golden rose Carnival no.12 is a clear base packed with the most diverse mixture of colors and shapes. It has red matte hex glitters, smaller matte black hex glitters, two sized dark teal hex glitter, white and light teal small bar glitter. This are two coats with top coat.

So this was a swatch-a-ton of the year! Damn this polishes are amazing! And I think they can even match some of the indie awesomeness! They are so unique, all have clear base which means good for layering :) I relay wish this would be a more recognised brand <3
